The Lumira Foundation

The mission of the Lumira Foundation is to support community-based initiatives where we live, work and invest. Each initiative we support is identified by a member of our team, portfolio company, and/or our investors, with a focus on actively engaging with those stakeholders, and addressing prevalent and ongoing social needs in communities throughout the areas where we work and invest.

An Avenue For Sustained And Engaged Philanthropy

Since 2017, the partners at Lumira Ventures linked our goals of supporting impactful community initiatives with the performance of the investments we make on behalf of our investors. To achieve this, we allocate part of our carry to support the Lumira Foundation and other healthcare foundations in the ecosystem. As the first firm to pursue this strategy, we see this as an opportunity to diversify our support and create a strong social impact.
